Do you know what’s it’s like to read a book and be so lost in the story, that you’re caught off guard when the chapter ends? You turn the page to find the next one blank. A sudden pause, a respite, a breath of fresh air before the next chapter begins. But when you’re lost in the storyline, that one blank page feels like an eternity of thoughts, questions, and gives you a lack of assurance, before discovering where the next chapter will go.
Life is oh so much like a book. We go from season to season, chapter to chapter, page by page. There are certain times we can predict the storyline, to some extent, you can fully understand what is happening and where it is going. But there are also times where you can’t. You inhale the words on each page, one at a time, and slowly put the puzzle pieces together.
I’ve reached a blank page. One chapter has ended. Another has yet to begin. One little empty page brings so many questions about life moving forward, yet provides a time of peace and quiet to take a deep breath and paint an imaginary picture of what that next chapter may or may not look like
“Thus says the Lord: Stand by the roads, and look, and ask for the ancient paths, where the good way is; and walk in it, and find rest for your souls. But they said, ‘We will not walk in it’ Jeremiah 6:16 ESV
I want to seek the ancient path. I want to walk in the good way. I want to walk on God’s one and only path for my life. I pray that you my reader will strive for that as well. Keep reading.
